Ann and Bill, Uber Alles!
01.27.05 (7:35 pm)   [edit]

With great amusement last night, I watched America's own Clown Prince and Princess of rightwing nut jobs on the CBC's Fifth Estate. While O'Rielly did not have guts to be interviewed in a melieu he could not contol, The Clown Princess did.

If there was ever a mother of all Whack-jobs, Ann is it. I cannot understand how the right wing could want her for their poster girl. Actually, I clearly understand why: when your opponent is trying to make a point that actually makes sense, all you have to do to reach your audience is yell loud enough to get your way. Goebbles clearly knew this and so do Bill and Ann.

Anyway, the really hilarious part happened when the Clown Princess claimed that Canada had participated in the Vietman debacle. When corrected, she looked horrified and said "she would look into it." She knows that facts really mean nothing to her constituents, only hatred and rhetoric.

I laughed my ass off. What an idiot you are, Ann Coulter. Goebbels was an idiot, too. Amazing they both used the same methods. Equally dangerous, too.

Major Update: You can see the Clown Princess on iFilm here:

Getting Shot At, et all...
01.18.05 (6:36 pm)   [edit]
I suppose if I were seeing my friends being killed I would be pretty upset about that. However, if I were seeing them killed in Iraq, I would ask a few questions about it. But then again, I am not American. In my country, we have freedom speech. When our leaders do something stupid or misguided, we commie Canadians usually ask questions about it. Seems that in America, this is the reaction to questioning the Powers that Be:

...and a few more dead and captured bad guys yesterday but you won't see that in the news, asshole.[/b]

What is more amazing about such a comment is the total lack of historical context such a remark contains. The resistance in Iraq, rightly or wrongly, is fighting America's decision to impose America's will on their country. I wonder if the author of the above comment has any knowledge of Iraq's history? Does the author know what happened in Iraq in 1916, 1917 or 1942? How about 1970, 1980 or 1982? Further, it plays directly into the hands of the insurgents; the more that are jailed, the more that will rise up against America. Classic guerilla war which America has neither the stomach or training to fight.

I highly doubt it. Such knowledge would not further America's goals, be they what they be, in Iraq. It is better that America's soldiers use words such as "fuck off" and "asshole" when others oppose America's views. It is easier to hate than reason as Saadam demonstrated.

January 30 will be a decisive demonstation that America cannot control Iraq .

I wonder what swear words will be used then.

I do know that to accept is easier than to question, to follow easier than lead.

Seems we are about 1966 now.

Jan 30 will be Tet, 1968. Not that far from Lunar New Year, either.

BERTRAND RUSSELL'S DECALOGUE

1.. Do not feel absolutely certain of anything.
2.. Do not think it worthwhile to produce belief by concealing evidence,
for the evidence is sure to come to light.
3.. Never try to discourage thinking, for you are sure to succeed.
4.. When you meet with opposition, even children, endeavor to overcome it
by argument, and not by authority, for a victory dependent upon authority is
unreal and illusory.
5.. Have no respect for the authority of others, for contrary authorities
are always to be found.
6.. Do not use power to suppress opinions you think pernicious, for if you
do the opinions will suppress you.
7.. Do not fear to be eccentric in opinion, for every opinion now accepted
was once eccentric.
8.. Find more pleasure in intelligent dissent than in passive agreement,
for, if you value intelligence as you should, the former implies deeper
agreement than the latter.
9.. Be scrupulously truthful, even when truth is inconvenient, for it is
more inconvenient when you try to conceal it.
10.. Do not feel envious of the happiness of those who live in a fool's
paradise, for only a fool will think that it is happiness.

1332 and 1333
01.02.05 (5:30 pm)   [edit]
Since I posted yesterday, 1332 and 1333 have occured. Two families grieve in a war that America cannot ever win.

The pattern is remarkably similar to that of Vietnam. Presently we are at about 1965 in the timeline. Here is what will happen in the next year:

1. The election on Jan 30 will be a disaster. The US has failed to provide the security that is necessary for such an event. The US armed forces have neither the manpower or training to accomplish this. Instead, they will try to train Iraqi nationals as fast as possible. The term last time was "Vietnamisation."

2. The US will assure that a regime favourable to it will get elected. This government will have no legitamacy because the people will, correctly, realise that without the US military behind it, it would fall in ten seconds.

3. The situation will be even worse. The resistance is not stupid; they realise that America is at the end of its manpower rescources and Bush is not politically able to instute a draft. The isurgency will blossom due to America's inability to provide security in the whole country. Soon only Baghdad will be relatively safe for Americans, it is not already.

4. A political face of the resistance will emerge. Being surrounded by a friendly or at least ambivelant population, the US will be unable to prevent such an emergence.

5. Sides will be drawn. There will be the pro-USA side, the pro-resistance side and the want the war to end side.

6. The reisistance knows it can kill a few Americans every day. After several years of this, eventually the US public will start to ask some serious questions. As US morale declines, so will deaths increase.

7. Eventually, a politcal settlement will be reached. The US will leave in stages. The government it leaves behind will be more interested in its own political battle to care much about what is happening around it. Several coups and counter coups will occur.

8. Death, for a family is never in vain.

Who Will Be 1332?
01.01.05 (11:51 am)   [edit]
Happy New Year, everyone. This message is specifically being sent to the pawns in Iraq, those who, by some reason and decision not of their own, have been sent to die for oil and imperialism in a war they can never, ever, win. I pose this question: Will you be 1332? When? And what for? I am going to let you in on some information:

1. You are not fighting "terrorism" in Iraq. Saadam correctly realised that he could not militarily defeat America. The "insurgency" you are fighting was planned by Saadam. The cells were established by him and are functioning according to plan. Iraq's citizens want to make their own future and as such are resisting America's efforts to dictate such on it's terms.

2. America could win in Iraq and establish a government that is favourable to itself but it lacks the guts to do so. The only way to pacify a place like Iraq is to use the tactics that Machivelli, Hitler and Saadam advocated. I doubt America has the stomach for such excesses.

3. Every dead American will encourage the Iraqi resistance and fan the flames of American politics. Do not doubt for a minute that there are forces in America that would LOVE to censor the press and keep voices like mine silent. Doing so would be a victory for the Iraqi resistance and terror networks in general.

4. There will be elections in Iraq this month but they will mean nothing. The war will not end. It will not end for years. The resistance knows that every dead Ameican will speed their departure. Then they will kill each other until the biggest thug wins. America may as well declare victory again and be done with the adventure.

5. What will being 1332 mean? It will mean nothing to the great scheme of things. It will mean a grief sticken family, lost sons and faded memories but in the great picture, 1332 will just be a number, as will 1333.

Question authority.
